At General Hospital (Boston) researchers developed a device that say will revolutionize the way doctors screen for esophageal cancer. A pill sized scanner uses lasers to generate a kind of 3D model of the esophagus with microscopic resolution giving doctors the ability to check for pre cancerous conditions without the need of a biopsy.
